The modern helicopter is a complex machine that merges a surprising number of technologies together. The helicopter can hover which can lead to all sorts of trouble, Vibration, poor performance, and forward flight. Helicopter training then will prove difficult to a student trying to learn the lessons of helicopter flight, and the initial flight training of the helicopter is a very steep learning curve. The initial flight in a helicopter should be with a trial lesson, which would give an insight into helicopter flight, also helicopter training and helicopter controls. There are three controls to our helicopter, which the student would first get to grips with in their helicopter lesson. The cyclic controls the main rotors of the helicopter and tilts the disc. The collective controls the main rotors of the helicopter as well, yet moves the helicopter Up and down like an elevator. The yaw pedals of the helicopter control the tail rotor. After the trial lesson in a helicopter, the student may wish to continue with helicopter lessons which there are twenty seven exercises. The helicopter lessons do not go in a precise order as the weather sometimes dictates on what we can do with the helicopter. When the helicopter training is complete, and all the helicopter lessons are well flown, then and only then can they take their helicopter flight test. Now that you are a qualified helicopter pilot you can do what you want, but it is a good idea to every now and again to refresh and have a helicopter lesson.

I have over 4 years experience in flying helicopters, after gaining my commercial license and becoming a qualified instructor. I can fly for charter and teach new students on how to obtain their private pilots license.

A trial lesson is an ideal introduction to helicopters. It provides a glimpse into the exciting and challenging world of rotary flight, and possibly gives you your first experience of piloting a helicopter. The package includes a briefing, followed by a flight in a 2 seater helicopter, lasting approximately half an hour. You will be shown how the helicopter flies, after which you will have the opportunity of operating the controls yourself. The whole experience takes in the region of an hour.

For those interested in something more than the standard trial lesson, we can arrange a flight to your specific requirements. Lessons can also be arranged in a 4 seater helicopter, allowing you to bring 2 guests along with you. If you are thinking of buying a trial lesson for someone else, we can provide you with a personalised voucher, which is valid for 6 months. This makes an exciting gift for anyone who is interested in helicopter flying.

You can also include a trial lesson booklet with the voucher, which explains what is involved in your first helicopter-flying lesson. Hours gained in a trial lesson, count towards the helicopter license, should you decide to continue training.
